What is Suno?
Suno is the world's most widely used AI music generator: describe the track you want in words (genre, mood, topic) or paste your own lyrics, and within seconds you get a complete song with sung vocals, instruments and arrangement. Founded in 2022, it says more than 100 million people have made music on the platform.
Unlike other AI music tools it produces full, sung tracks rather than just beds, and it has added production tools such as stem separation and Suno Studio.
Main Features
- Songs from a prompt: describe the style and theme and get a complete track with vocals and instruments
- Custom lyrics: write your own words, in many languages, and have them sung
- Audio upload: start from your own recording (up to 8 minutes on Free, 30 on Premier)
- Stem separation: split vocals and instruments into separate stems on paid plans
- Your own voice: record and create with your voice, or build custom models (Pro and Premier)
- Suno Studio: an editor with MIDI, effects and automation to polish tracks (Premier only)
How Does Suno Work?
On the website or app you type a request such as "melancholic pop ballad, female vocals" and Suno offers several versions. Each generation uses credits, which refill daily (free) or monthly (paid).
In advanced mode you enter lyrics split into verses and choruses, set the style, extend a track or replace a section. With Premier you work track by track in Suno Studio.
