What is Kling AI?
Kling AI is the artificial intelligence video generator developed by Kuaishou, the Chinese company behind the short video platform of the same name. It creates realistic clips from text or images and is best known for how it renders human movement, facial expressions and object physics.
On October 15, 2026 Kuaishou launched Kling 4.0, which pushes a single clip to 30 seconds with audio and synchronized lip movement, double the 15 seconds of Kling 3.0. It is also one of the most widely used models outside its own platform: you can find it inside Runway, Luma and Higgsfield, at different prices.
Main Features
- Text to video with clips up to 30 seconds in a single generation (Kling 4.0)
- Image to video to animate photos or generated images, including start and end frames
- Native audio with dialogue, sound effects and lip sync
- Multiple references to keep characters, objects and settings consistent
- Native 4K with Kling 3.0, still available alongside version 4.0
- Canvas: a project space with an agent to write scripts, build storyboards and edit scenes
How Does Kling AI Work?
You sign in on kling.ai or in the iPhone and Android app, choose a model and write a prompt describing the subject, shot type, camera movement and lighting. Each generation uses credits, in amounts that depend on the model, length, resolution and features used.
The most popular feature is image animation: you upload a photo and Kling sets it in motion while keeping the subject's features. With Kling 4.0 you can set several keyframes and reference elements, which helps build consistent scenes from one clip to the next.

Pricing
Kling runs on credits. On the Italian App Store the subscriptions cost €10/month (Standard), €39/month (Pro) and €99/month (Premier); there is also a one-week Standard trial at €0.99 or €1.99. Without a subscription you can buy credit packs from €6 (330 credits) to €100 (6,600 credits). On the website plans are priced in US dollars and the price list is only visible after signing in. Signing up is free, but daily credits are not guaranteed and watermark removal and higher resolutions depend on the plan.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Single clips up to 30 seconds with audio, among the longest available
- Very realistic rendering of people and motion
- Euro prices in the app and credit packs with no subscription
Cons:
- No free plan with guaranteed credits
- Italian is not among the languages listed for Kling 4.0 dialogue
- It is not clear which plans include Kling 4.0: check from your own account
Final Verdict
Kling AI is currently the benchmark for long, realistic clips with audio, especially with people on screen. To try it, start with a €6 credit pack or the app's one-week trial and move to a subscription only if the results convince you.
